Alumicolor T-Squares

Tempered extruded aluminum is what Alumicolor products are best known for. As this company creates drafting instruments to exact specifications, it’s no wonder why Alumicolor is the go-to store of drafters, architects, and engineers alike.

Alumicolor makes sure that each of its products is made with the highest quality in mind, and Alumicolor’s drafting T-squares are no different. These T-squares have undergone a photo anodizing process, making their finish and calibrations (in both inches and centimeters) permanent and resistant to solvents. This process also creates smooth edges, which means neither ticks nor grooves will affect any precision tasks.

Standard T-Square

With 1 1/2" aluminum shafts and black ABS plastic heads, joined together by five screws rather than rivets, Alumicolor’s standard T-squares are far from your standard T-squares. They’re lightweight yet sturdy enough to be virtually unbreakable, making them a great choice of drafting T-square for life.

Non-Slip Standard T-Square

These standard T-squares are also available in models with non-slip neoprene backing. This kind of material will neither chip off nor dry out, making it far better than regular cork.

The 24” and 36” standard T-squares come in silver, black, gold, red, blue, green, and purple colors, while their non-slip counterparts are available in silver. Available lengths: 12”, 15”, 18”, 24”, 30”, 36”, 42”, and 48”

Professional T-Square

Drafting professionals now have the perfect T-squares: Alumicolor’s professional T-squares. These T-squares have 2” wide blades with channeled backs, allowing them to glide without difficulty across drafting tables. Plus, their heads are made of lightweight and durable black ABS plastic.

Non-Slip Professional T-Square

Like Alumicolor’s non-slip standard T-square, this professional T-square comes with non-slip neoprene backing and dual inking edges.

Steel Edge Professional T-Square

Alumicolor’s Steel Edge Professional T-squares also have dual cutting and inking edges, except these dual edges are made of stainless steel embedded in tempered aluminum.

The 24” and 36” Professional T-squares come in silver, black, gold, red, blue, green, and purple colors, while the rest of the T-squares are available in silver. Available lengths: 12”, 18”, 24”, 30”, 36”, 42”, and 48”

Ludwig Precision T-Square

Students or professionals who are just starting out can find the 2” wide and 2.33 mm thick Ludwig Precision T-Squares a great choice. They’re a more economical choice, yet they still boast the quality of Alumicolor’s precision tools.

The top edges of Alumicolor’s Ludwig Precision T-squares are calibrated to 32nds through the first 6”, while their bottom edges are calibrated in centimeters and millimeters.

Scholastic T-Square

Attached to Alumicolor’s Scholastic T-squares’ aluminum blades are 12.5” wide plastic heads, with calibrations up to 4” on each side. These two parts are securely joined together by four rivets.

Heavy-Duty T-Square

What makes the Heavy-Duty T-Squares different from the Scholastic T-squares is their 14” plastic heads, calibrated to 5” on either side. Their plastic heads are attached to their blades with five rivets for added durability.

Alumicolor’s Ludwig Precision T-Squares are silver in color. Available lengths: 12”, 18”, 24”, 30”, 36”, 42”, and 48”

Calibrated Wood Acrylic T-Square

For a more stylish way of drafting, the Calibrated Wood Acrylic T-Square is a must-have in your drafting kit. Its blade is made of traditional wood with acrylic edges, and its large head is made of wood that’s painted sleek black.

Available lengths: 18”, 24”, and 36”
