AlumiColor Frank Lloyd Wright 24” Aluminum Drafting Tube
Frank Lloyd Wright was a celebrated American architect and interior designer. He was remarkably prolific, having designed over 1,100 structures, 532 of which were ultimately brought to life as actual structures. Unfortunately, as of today, a number of those structures have been destroyed by forces of nature or demolished due to a variety of reasons. Even so, over 400 structures are still standing.
Wright designed a number of notable structures and residences, like Fallingwater, his own estate Taliesin Spring Green, the Alpha Delta Phi literary society house at Cornell, the now-demolished old Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, and so many more. He developed the “Prairie School,” a style of design that aimed for “organic architecture” for both residential and commercial buildings. Open floor plans were common in his designs, a move that was considered to be a direct counterpoint to the confined and closed-off spaces common in Victorian architecture. Wright buildings are further characterized by low-pitched roofs, ornament-free exteriors, and an effort to blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings.
This drafting tube, as the name suggests, is made of durable yet lightweight aluminum. This construction can reliably protect blueprints, maps, art work, sketches, and other documents without weighing you down. Thus, the tube can reliably protect important documents while in transport on vehicles like trains, buses, and planes. It won’t dent and damage its contents even on the bumpiest rides. Students and professionals alike can benefit from the use of this aluminum drafting tube. Its cap has an ID tag that allows you to label the tube as your own, or in any other way that you would like.
AlumiColor has an entire line of products named for Frank Lloyd Wright. Aside from drafting tubes, there are also pocket scales, hollow scales, rulers, and even gift sets. These are drafting tools that can last and remain usable for a long time. All are made of high-quality aluminum and are authorized by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation.
